The Role
As an Engineer at CES, you will apply your expertise to deliver innovative solutions across a diverse range of commercial projects. Your key responsibilities will include:Engage in all project stages from concept, planning, design and construction.
Conducting site investigations and preparing existing condition reports.
Overseeing the design/drafting team to deliver projects in Civil 3D / Civil Site Design.
Tender analysis and engineering contract administration.
Ensuring compliance with local authority requirements, the NCC and Australian Standards.
Monitoring and mentoring of design team members.
About You
We need a proactive, motivated, and skilled professional with:Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial Civil engineering (local experience preferred).
A solid understanding of local authority requirements, the NCC, and relevant Australian standards.
Competent in Watercom Drains software.
Understanding of modelling packages such as Civil 3D and Civil Site Design.
Experience in design of flexible pavements and stormwater systems including stormwater quality and quantity treatment.
Membership or eligibility for MIEAust and listing on the National Engineering Register.
Recognition or the ability to register as a Building Services Provider in Tasmania.
Exceptional time management and multitasking skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.

The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at CES, you will apply your expertise to deliver innovative solutions across a diverse range of commercial projects. Your key responsibilities will include:Detailed design, documentation for HVAC, gas systems, refrigeration, smoke management and building management systems.

About You
We need a proactive, motivated, and skilled professional with:Minimum 5+ years of Australian experience in mechanical building services engineering in a commercial environment.
MIEAust with qualifications and experience suitable for listing on the National Engineering Register.
M. AIRAH membership (desirable).
Licenced in Tasmania as a Building Services Provider – Individual Building Services Engineer Unrestricted.
Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, gas systems, refrigeration, smoke hazard management and industrial ventilation.
Knowledge and experience in wet fire design, including compliance with relevant codes and standards, would be advantageous.
Expertise in digital control systems and building management systems.
Experience with medical gasses and laboratory systems.
A solid understanding of the NCC and relevant Australian standards.
Strong understanding of NABERS and Green Star requirements.
Exceptional project management, time management and multitasking abilities.

As an experienced Building Services Design Technician at CES, you will apply your expertise to deliver innovative solutions across a diverse range of projects.We are seeking an experienced Building Services Design Technician with strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset to join our team – ideally based in Hobart.

Key Responsibilities:

The Role
As a Civil Design Technician at CES, you will be directly responsible to the Manager and liaise with the relevant Project Senior Engineer to keep them fully informed on all aspects of your work and professional development.Your key responsibilities will include:
Producing accurate and consistent 2D and 3D detailed Engineering documentation, including Plans, Sections, Details, and Schedules, using Computer Aided Design (CAD) Software (AutoCAD Civil 3D and Civil Site Design).
Ensuring all Engineering Documentation is produced in compliance with current Australian Standards, the Building Code of Australia, and relevant legislations.
Producing documents for Authority Approvals, Tender, and Construction purposes.
Liaising with Architects, other Engineers, Contractors, and sub-consultants to interpret ideas and coordinate designs across disciplines.
Participating in peer-to-peer design reviews and performing full self-checks of your own work.
Preparing fee proposals, determining project budgets, and assisting with estimating and project specifications.
Conducting ongoing reviews, updates, and implementation of CES CAD protocols.
About You
The Civil Design Technician is expected to have or develop the following necessary skills:Minimum 3+ years’ experience in civil engineering drafting and design (local experience preferred).
Excellent drafting skills in production of engineering design drawings using Civil 3D and/or Civil Site Design.
Excellent computer skills including knowledge and use of Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and on-line meeting software applications.
A high level of attention to detail and the ability to co-ordinate designs across all the engineering disciplines.
Ability to identify solutions to problems that may arise during documentation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to meet required deadlines (time management) and the ability to multi-task.
